Of course, I am starting my first post around food! On a
recent lunch date with a friend, we decided to go to the Instagram-famous,
Peggy Porschen café. When we arrived,
the pink café could stand out a mile away, from the pink exterior to the lavish
flower display outside, let’s just say it was major flower envy. The huge sign
which read ‘love’ covered by pink flowers matched the pretty exterior and was a
popular photo destination, with people racing to get the next free space
outside the door!
The popular café was for sure a must-see destination in
London, and as soon as we arrived this was confirmed from the queue outside! Even though there was a queue, we decided to wait, as
we were already sold on the exterior so we wanted to see what else the café
could offer! We decided to sit outside, sitting at white tables with baby pink
and blue blankets to keep us cosy! The service was amazing, especially for how
busy it was and as soon as we were seated we were given the menu to dive right
in.
The menu had a selection of
treats, varying from cupcakes to layered cakes to tray-bakes and much more! They
also had a range of cold and hot drinks, with plenty to choose from. I decided
to go for a salted caramel cupcake and opposite my friend ordered a chocolate
heaven cupcake, with a latte.
Both arrived looking super
cute! My cupcake had a shard of salted caramel, sitting on a swirl of butter
cream, with a surprise centre of gooey salted caramel sauce oozing out, it was utter
heaven on a plate!
I would say that if you have
a free hour or a free day out, then Peggy Porschen is definitely worth a trip,
from the scrumptious cakes to the cute pics outside, it really is a
must-see!
